At Bergman Prototyping, we believe that hands-on experience and real-world applications are essential for the next generation of engineers. That’s why we proudly sponsor the San Jose State University (SJSU) Robotics and Formula SAE teams, providing custom CNC-machined components and technical support to help students bring their innovative designs to life.
Our partnership began when the SJSU Formula SAE team approached us for sponsorship, and we’ve been honored to support them for four consecutive years. Whether it’s precision-machined parts for their formula race car or mentoring students in design for manufacturability, our goal is to help future engineers gain practical experience that will set them up for success.
Beyond sponsorship, Bergman Prototyping founder, John Bergman III, is an adjunct professor at SJSU’s Mechanical Engineering Department, sharing his industry expertise with students. With a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Santa Clara University, John actively contributes to engineering education while continuing to develop next-generation medical devices for the industry.
Supporting SJSU is more than just a sponsorship—it’s about investing in the future of engineering, fostering innovation, and helping students turn their ideas into reality.
